Tarpon Springs Police Investigating Serious Crash Involving Pedestrian and Motorcycle on US-19

TARPON SPRINGS – Tarpon Springs Police and Fire Departments responded to a crash on U.S. Highway 19 North, near 40347 U.S. 19, at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

According to police, a male pedestrian was crossing U.S. 19 from east to west when he was struck by a northbound motorcycle. There are no crosswalks in the area where the crash occurred.

The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Bayonet Point Medical Center in Hudson. His identity has been confirmed, but next of kin have not yet been notified.

The motorcycle, a 2010 Honda, was operated by 27-year-old Daniel Outlaw, who was also injured and transported to Bayonet Point Medical Center.

The Tarpon Springs Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash. Investigators reported no evidence of impaired driving by the motorcyclist.

Anyone who witnessed the crash and has not yet spoken with investigators is asked to contact Officer Nate Briseno at 727-938-2849.
