Fatal Crash Involving Electric Bicycle on US-19 in Palm Harbor

PALM HARBOR – A man was killed in a crash involving an electric bicycle early Sunday morning, October 26, 2025.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 12:25 a.m. at the intersection of US-19 and Cypress Drive.

Investigators say a 36-year-old Holiday woman was driving a Kia Optima northbound on US-19 when a 60-year-old Palm Harbor man riding an electric bicycle turned north from Cypress Drive into the path of the vehicle. The Kia struck the bicycle, and the bicyclist died at the scene.

The driver of the Kia was not injured. The roadway was reopened at approximately 4 a.m.
