St. Petersburg: Road Rage Duel Causes Rollover, Lands Both Drivers in Jail

St. Petersburg – Two men were arrested following a road rage incident that resulted in a rollover crash on Wednesday afternoon in St. Petersburg.

According to arrest affidavits from the St. Petersburg Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 1:07 p.m. near 37th Street North and 30th Avenue North.

Investigators say St. Petersburg residents, 64-year-old Ronald Edwin Company and 37-year-old Christopher Allen Clark, became involved in a road rage altercation while driving westbound on 30th Avenue North. Both drivers reportedly began swerving into the oncoming traffic lane in attempts to block or pass each other.

During the incident, the vehicles collided, resulting in one of them overturning. Police stated the actions of both drivers demonstrated willful or wanton disregard for the safety of others.

Neither driver sustained serious injuries. Both Company and Clark were arrested and charged with reckless driving with property damage or injury, a misdemeanor offense under Florida Statute 316.192.

Each was booked into the Pinellas County Jail and later released after posting a $500 bond.
