Pinellas Park Fire Department Responds to Large Commercial Fire; Shelter-In-Place Advisory Issued

PINELLAS PARK — Pinellas Park Fire Department crews are working to contain a large fire reported Friday, November 14, 2025, in the 5300 block of 62nd Avenue North. Pinellas Park Police are assisting at the scene.

Officials state the business involved stores chemicals that may pose a hazard. Residents between 58th Street and 49th Street and between 62nd Avenue and 70th Avenue are advised to remain indoors until further notice.

On firefighter was transported from the scene to a local hospital for medical evaluation.

Shelter-in-place means staying indoors, sealing your space, and waiting for the plume to pass.

1. Get Inside Immediately

• Enter the nearest sturdy building (home, office, school, store).

• Bring pets inside.

2. Close & Seal All Openings

Doors & windows: Shut and lock (locks seal better).

Vents & ducts: Close fireplace dampers, turn off HVAC/fans/exhaust systems.
