ST. PETERSBURG – A St. Petersburg man was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated animal cruelty after an employee at the Days Inn at 2595 54th Avenue North recorded two videos showing a dog being restrained, struck, and dragged, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit.
Deputies identified the suspect as 22-year-old D’Andre Denzel Isidore-Thomas. The affidavit states that the incident occurred around 1:00 p.m. on November 20, 2025, outside the motel where the defendant had been staying for nearly three weeks.
The employee told deputies he saw Isidore-Thomas holding down a medium-sized dark-colored dog and recorded two videos. Investigators reviewed the footage. In the first video, the affidavit states the defendant held the dog by the throat with both hands while yelling, “I don’t give a damn bro, I don’t give a damn, I’m tired of you with this f**king bullshit, bruh.” He then struck the dog with a closed fist, and the dog yelped and gasped.Â
In the second video, Isidore-Thomas is seen dragging the dog along the sidewalk by one hand while repeatedly yelling, “It’s not your fucking room no more, bro.” The dog could be heard yelping again. Deputies confirmed the defendant’s identity through state photo records, and motel staff also identified him.Â
The dog’s status was not provided.
Isidore-Thomas was taken into custody at 9:03 p.m. on November 20. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on a felony charge of aggravated animal cruelty. His bond was set at $5,000.
