Fatal Crash Claims Life of Bicyclist in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a bicyclist in the 4900 block of 22nd Avenue North.

The crash occurred shortly after 7 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department responded to the collision in the Westbound lanes near the intersection of 22nd Avenue North and 49th Street.

Despite lifesaving efforts by bystanders, the adult female bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Police report that the driver who struck the bicyclist remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.
