Pedestrian Airlifted After Crash on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard

Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a pedestrian-involved crash at 6:16 p.m. in the 1700 block of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard.

According to officials, an adult male pedestrian was struck and sustained injuries described as possible life-threatening.

He was flown by Aeromed to Tampa General Hospital as a trauma alert. The Aeromed helicopter landed at the soccer field at Court Street and South Hillcrest Avenue to pickup the patient.

All westbound lanes of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, west of Keene Road, were closed while the investigation was underway. Authorities have not released the identity of the pedestrian.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and Sunstar Paramedics assisted at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. Updates as they are provided by Clearwater Police.
