FDOT to Lower Speed Limits in Two I-275 Work Zones Beginning Next Week

Beginning next week, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement reduced speed limits in two active construction zones along I-275. The changes will apply to the segment from 38th Avenue North to 4th Street North and to the Howard Frankland Bridge project area between Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.

The new posted speed limit in both zones will be 55 miles per hour.

FDOT states the reduction is intended to maintain consistent speeds through each project area and support safe travel conditions for motorists and construction crews. Drivers are advised to slow down and remain alert when entering and traveling through work zones.
