A fatal traffic crash occurred on December 4, 2025, at 2:23 PM on northbound US-19, south of Fulton Avenue in Pasco County.
According to the initial investigation, a Toyota Corolla driven by a 71-year-old Spring Hill man, was traveling northbound on US-19. A motorcycle operated by a 73-year-old New Port Richey man, was also traveling northbound ahead of the the Toyota..
Investigators report that the motorcyclist slowed for traffic that was slowed or stopped. The driver of the Toyota failed to slow and struck the motorcycle from behind. The impact caused both vehicles to overturn and come to rest in the northbound lanes.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
The motorcycle operator died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
