Fatal Motorcycle Crash Leads to DUI Manslaughter Charge for Tampa Driver

TAMPA — The Tampa Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on County Line Road East near Grand Hampton Drive at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

According to the preliminary investigation, an adult male operating a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling eastbound on County Line Road East as a 2016 Nissan Rogue, driven by 50-year-old Mauricus Labron Green, was traveling westbound and attempting a southbound turn onto Grand Hampton Drive. The Nissan violated the motorcycle’s right of way, and the motorcycle struck the front left of the vehicle.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital and later died from his injuries.

Green remained at the scene, was identified as the driver, and showed indications of impairment. He was arrested for DUI Manslaughter.
