ST. PETERSBURG — Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Unit arrested a St. Petersburg man on charges related to the possession and transmission of child pornography.
According to police, detectives began the investigation after receiving information indicating that child pornography was being accessed and shared via the internet. Through investigative methods, detectives identified the suspect as 26-year-old Cody Meader.
Investigators stated that the images involved children between the ages of 2 and 9 years old.
On December 18, 2025, Meader was arrested and charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and 11 counts of transmission of child pornography.
Meader was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Meader was arrested in 2019 after performing sexual acts on a stuffed “Olaf” at a Pinellas Park Target Store. He was charged with criminal mischief in the 2019 incident.
