Largo — Emergency crews responded to a brush fire shortly before 9:30 a.m. Thursday in a wooded area near 8321 Ulmerton Road.
Largo Fire Rescue was supported by Seminole Fire Rescue, Sunstar Paramedics, and the Florida Division of Forestry in responding to the incident.

Fire crews worked to contain the blaze and were able to prevent it from spreading to nearby structures. Authorities confirmed that all surrounding buildings remained safe and intact.
No injuries were reported.

The fire is now under control, and the scene has been turned over to the Florida Division of Forestry. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Residents in the area may notice lingering smoke as conditions improve. Officials advise keeping windows and doors closed as a precaution until the smoke clears.
