Gulfport Motorcyclist Killed in Late-Night Crash at 18th Ave S and Quincy St

A 21-year-old Gulfport man died following a motorcycle crash late Sunday night at the intersection of 18th Avenue South and Quincy Street.

The crash occurred shortly before midnight when Trevor Allen Fritz, 21, was riding a black 2020 Harley-Davidson Iron 200 motorcycle eastbound on 18th Avenue South. According to investigators, a silver 2018 Ram ProMaster 2500 cargo van traveling westbound attempted to make a left turn onto Quincy Street South and entered the path of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle struck the van during the turn.

Fritz was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, where he later died from his injuries. Next of kin has been notified.

The driver of the van remained at the scene following the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
