Fire Damages Tarpon Springs Home; One Person Treated for Minor Burns

Tarpon Springs — Fire crews from Tarpon Springs, Palm Harbor, and East Lake Fire Rescue were dispatched at 12:58 PM on May 5, 2026, to a structure fire at 1198 Rolling Oaks Avenue in Tarpon Springs.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames coming from the garage area of the home. Crews initiated an aggressive fire attack, and the blaze was brought under control within approximately 30 minutes, around 1:30 PM.

The homeowner sustained minor burns and was treated at the scene before being released. Two dogs were removed from the backyard during the incident and were not injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Tarpon Springs Fire Marshal.
