CLEARWATER — Beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, May 18, through 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, all travel lanes on SR 60 (Courtney Campbell Causeway) will close overnight, weather permitting.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation, westbound traffic on SR 60 will be detoured using SR 580 (Hillsborough Avenue) and US 19 to access SR 60 in Pinellas County.
As an alternate route, drivers may also use southbound I-275 (Howard Frankland Bridge), take Exit 31 onto Ulmerton Road, then turn right onto US 19 and continue north toward SR 60.
Eastbound traffic on SR 60 will be detoured using CR 611 (Bayside Bridge), then left onto Ulmerton Road, continuing east toward the northbound I-275 entrance ramp onto the Howard Frankland Bridge to reconnect with SR 60.
Advanced warning signs and message boards will be in place to assist motorists traveling through the area. Drivers are urged to use caution in the work zone and remain alert for construction crews.
The temporary nighttime closures are necessary for overhead bridge work related to the SR 60 (Courtney Campbell Causeway) pedestrian overpass project in Pinellas County.
