LARGO — A St. Petersburg man has been arrested following a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a scooter rider Saturday night on Seminole Boulevard in Largo.
According to information gathered at the scene, the crash occurred at approximately 10:56 p.m. on June 6, 2026, in the northbound lanes of Seminole Boulevard, south of 8th Avenue Southeast.
Officers with the Largo Police Department responded to the area and located an injured male who had been riding a scooter. Officers immediately began administering CPR while awaiting the arrival of emergency crews.
Firefighters and paramedics from both Largo Fire Rescue and Seminole Fire Rescue responded to the scene. Medics continued life-saving efforts before transporting the victim to HCA Florida Largo Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Witness information obtained at the scene indicated the scooter rider had been struck by a red Honda sedan that fled the area.
A short time later, officers located a vehicle matching that description at the Wawa convenience store near Missouri Avenue and Rosery Road. Investigators detained the driver and observed significant damage to the windshield of a 2024 red Honda Accord.

The driver was identified as Raman Pantsialeyenka, 44, of St. Petersburg. He was arrested and booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
Jail records show Pantsialeyenka faces the following charges:

- Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Death (Felony)
- DUI with a Blood Alcohol Level of .15 or Higher
The Largo Police Department has not yet released an official news release regarding the crash, and no additional information was immediately available.
