PINELLAS PARK — A St. Petersburg woman was arrested after police say she stole thousands of dollars’ worth of cigarette cartons from a Pinellas Park Circle K over a period of approximately two months.

According to an arrest affidavit from the Pinellas Park Police Department, 36-year-old Brittany Ozella Jenkins was arrested on June 24, 2026, following an investigation at the Circle K located at 8201 66th Street North.

Police say the business conducted an audit and discovered approximately $72,210 in cigarettes were missing. Investigators reviewed surveillance footage and said Jenkins was captured arriving at the store nearly every day for about two months, often in different vehicles and clothing, while carrying a reusable bag.

According to the affidavit, Jenkins would allegedly pretend to use a microwave out of the cashier’s view, near a door leading to a storage room where merchandise and cigarette cartons were kept. Police say she was captured entering the storage room while the cashier was distracted, filling the reusable bag with cartons of cigarettes, and leaving the store unnoticed.

On June 24, police say Jenkins returned to the store and used the same method to enter the storage room and conceal cigarette cartons in a reusable bag.

Police say Jenkins was seen leaving the store and entering a Nissan passenger car. Officers conducted a traffic stop and located the stolen merchandise inside the vehicle, according to the affidavit.

During an interview, Jenkins allegedly admitted to the thefts and told investigators she had been selling the merchandise to two stores in St. Petersburg for half of its value.

Jenkins is facing charges of scheme to defraud $50,000 or more, grand theft between $20,000 and $100,000, and dealing in stolen property.

The case remains pending in Pinellas County court.
