LARGO — Four people were hospitalized following a 10-vehicle crash in the 13000 block of 66th Street North on Wednesday morning. The crash occurred just south of Ulmerton Road.
The Largo Police Department responded to the crash shortly before 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
Police said three of the four people transported to area hospitals suffered serious bodily injuries, including one person whose injuries were considered life-threatening. Six other people involved in the crash refused medical treatment.
Largo Police traffic investigators are working to determine what caused the collision. Preliminary information indicates there were no signs of impairment.
The northbound lanes of 66th Street North are expected to remain closed for a portion of the day as investigators process the scene. Traffic is being rerouted at 126th Avenue North, and motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible.
Witnesses reported that a pickup truck traveling northbound at high speed struck multiple vehicles, many of which were stopped in traffic. Police have not yet confirmed those details, and investigators are still determining the cause and sequence of the crash.
