Adult Female in Critical Condition After St. Petersburg House Fire

Firefighters from St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to reports of a home on fire at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, in the 5800 block of Mangrove St N.

Units arrived to find a single-family home with light smoke from the eves.
Crews were able to make entry quickly and extinguish the fire. While the
Engine Company extinguished the fire, other crews found two victims during the
initial search.

One victim was an adult female with critical injuries and was transported to Tampa General Hospital. The second victim is an adult male who is in stable condition and transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg for further evaluation.

The Fire Investigator arrived on the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
