Armed Home Robbery Triggers Pursuit and Apprehension of Suspects in Pinellas County

On August 5, 2023, at around 3:15 p.m., Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported gunpoint robbery at a residence. The victim, a female, stated she was robbed shortly after withdrawing money from a nearby ATM. A witness saw a black Chevy Traverse leaving the scene before deputies arrived.

Later that day, around 8:23 p.m., deputies spotted the black Chevy Traverse heading west on 54th Avenue North from 49th Street. Deputies tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver, identified as Jarmarquel Boone (25 years old), fled west on 54th Avenue North. A pursuit ensued, moving north on Park Street, where deputies attempted a precision immobilization technique (PIT). However, Boone continued north, and the pursuit ended successfully with a PIT maneuver just north of 62nd Avenue on Park Street.

Upon stopping the vehicle, four individuals fled on foot in the northbound direction. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Canine Unit was deployed, leading to the apprehension of all four suspects: Jeremiah Lewis (24 years old), Javon Threat (23 years old), Mikhail Hines (20 years old), and Jarmarquel Boone. Lewis is from St. Petersburg and they other reside in North Carolina.

During the investigation, authorities discovered a substantial amount of marijuana and multiple firearms.

Lewis faced charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Grand Theft (Firearm), Felony Possession of Marijuana, and Resisting Arrest Without Violence. Threat and Hines were charged with Resisting Arrest Without Violence. Boone faced charges of Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Resisting Arrest Without Violence.

The investigation remains ongoing.
