Rosalyn Fuller, 58, of St. Petersburg, has been arrested in connection with the deadly hit-and-run that occurred on June 25, 2024, on 4th Street North. Fuller was taken into custody on Sunday, August 11, under an arrest warrant.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:19 p.m. on June 25, 2024, when 62-year-old Kathy Repke crossed 4th Street North in a marked crosswalk at the 6900 block. She was hit by the vehicle while the yellow flashers were activated and blinking in the crosswalk and later died at a local hospital.
Investigators arrived on the scene and began their investigation. They located a part of the vehicle left behind due to the collision with the Repke. The vehicle was traced to a 2011-2013 Honda Odyssey.
A few hours after the collision, at approximately 12:44 a.m. on June 26, 2024, officers responded to a vehicle fire at 110th Avenue and 28th Street N. The vehicle’s interior, a Honda Odyssey, was badly damaged, but the exterior was mostly intact. Detectives matched the vehicle part left at the crash with the burned vehicle’s front grill. The license plate led them to Rosalyn Fuller.
Officers attempted to contact Fuller without success and released her name and photo as a person of interest to the media. A surveillance camera captured the crash at 9:19 p.m. The driver stopped for 1-2 seconds and proceeded northbound on 4th Street N.
Fuller came to the St. Petersburg Police Department at approximately 6 p.m. on June 26, 2024, and reportedly told investigators that she went to bed at approximately 9 p.m. on June 25, 2024. She stated she did not know the vehicle’s whereabouts or the keys after leaving it parked at 2410 8th Avenue South.
Detectives received cell phone records back, which placed Fuller, at the appropriate times, near the crash location and the scene of the vehicle fire. It was never parked on 8th Avenue S. Detectives could not locate Fuller, but she was finally arrested on August 11, 2024.
Fuller has been charged with hit and run—failure to stop at a crash involving death and tampering with evidence. St. Petersburg traffic investigators identified Fuller as the driver of the Honda Odyssey that fatally struck 62-year-old Kathy Repke on the evening of June 25.
