Attempted murder charges filed after police say driver intentionally struck an acquaintance riding her bicycle in St. Petersburg

The St. Petersburg Police Department charged 18 year-old Breasia Marie Niblack with 2nd degree attempted murder.

At approximately 8:34 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022, Niblack was driving a vehicle and intentionally hit a woman who was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk in the 4300 block of Emerson Avenue South. According to arrest documentation, the victim and her bicycle were launched approximately 20 feet into the air. Niblack, according to a witness and self admitted, bashed the victim’s head on the concrete sidewalk after hitting her with the vehicle.

The victim suffered life-threatening injuries. Police say that the two women were known to each other.

Niblack was arrested and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
