Pinellas County and Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to a fatal crash early Thursday, December 11, 2025, in the 8700 block of Bay Pines Boulevard.
A 64-year-old Naples man was riding a bicycle at approximately 2:45 a.m., towing a small trailer loaded with tree branches. North of Seahorse Drive, a Kia Optima driven by a 22-year-old Seminole man overtook and struck the bicyclist.
First responders from Seminole Fire Rescue, Lealman Fire District, and Sunstar Paramedics arrived on scene. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver, identified as Dominic Boeing, continued to his residence in the 13200 block of 87th Place and reported the crash.
He was arrested by Florida Highway Patrol troopers and charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving a death.
