Bicyclist killed following a crash on 66th Street in Pinellas Park

An investigation is ongoing after officers from the Pinellas Park Police Department were dispatched to a crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist.

The incident occurred on Sunday, February 18th, 2024, at approximately 12:19 a.m. in the 6500 block of 66th Street North in Pinellas Park.

Investigation revealed that the bicyclist, crossing 66th Street N midblock from east to west, was struck by a northbound Kia Forte in the center lane. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The vehicle’s driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

As of now, no criminal charges have been filed.
