A bicyclist, identified as 57 year-old William Lyle of Land O’ Lakes, was killed in a crash that occurred at SR-54 and Black Lake Road.

According to investigators, a 54 year-old woman was traveling eastbound on SR-54, in the outside lane, approaching Black Lake Road in a 2013 Land Rover Evoque.
Lyle, while operating a bicycle, was traveling southbound across the eastbound lanes of SR-54 and entered the path of the Land Rover.
Lyle was struck by the vehicle and died at the scene.
Troopers say that alcohol did not play a role in the crash and no charges are pending.
