Bicyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Clearwater Crash

Clearwater, FL – Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a traffic crash with serious injuries Thursday night at the intersection of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and Old Coachman Road.

The crash occurred at approximately 9:27 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025 and involved a sport utility vehicle and a bicycle. A 52-year-old male bicyclist was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg with life-threatening injuries.

According to the preliminary investigation, the bicyclist turned in front of the SUV at the intersection prior to the collision.

The eastbound lanes of Gulf to Bay Boulevard were closed during the on-scene investigation.
