Shortly before 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 04, 2024, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) received a report of a single-vessel boating incident in Tampa Bay near the Courtney Campbell Causeway in Hillsborough County. The FWC, Tampa Police Department, and Tampa Fire Rescue responded to the scene.
One individual was transported to the hospital, and one individual was declared deceased as a result of the incident.
All members of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission expressed their sincere sympathies to the family and friends of the victim.
