Body of Palm Harbor Man Recovered in Oldsmar Waterway

At approximately 6:15 AM deputies received a call of a man in the water at National Orange Drive and Lafayette Boulevard at a boat ramp in Oldsmar. Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputies, marine unit and flight unit along with the assistance of the United States Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife began searching for the subject, identified as 25 year-old Anthony Norton of Palm Harbor.

At approximately 8:50 AM FWC officers located the subject in the water. Anthony was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to witnesses Anthony jumped into the water intentionally.

It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs are a factor in the incident.
The investigation is on-going.
