City of Seminole Hosting Hurricane Seminar Saturday Morning at the Seminole Public Library
On Saturday, May 19, 2018, the City of Seminole will be hosting a Hurricane Seminar from 10 a.m. to Noon at the Seminole Public Library located at 9200 113 Street North.
Topics discussed at this very informative seminar will be lessons learned from Hurricane IRMA, preparedness procedures that you can implement, debris management and recovery, and the Seminole CERT program as they assisted with the Hurricane Irma response. Their featured speaker is Meteorologist Julie Phillips of WFLA StormTeam 8, who be discussing hurricanes and tropical cyclones.
Hurricane IRMA was a storm that affected the entire state of Florida impacting many levels of our infrastructure and caused numerous disruptions in our lives. The key to surviving and managing the next storm that may affect us, relies on how well we are all prepared to handle the crisis.
