Bicyclist Dies Following Crash with Truck in Clearwater

CLEARWATER, FL – Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a crash involving a bicyclist at Drew Street and Main Avenue N at approximately 11:55 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

The collision, which involved a truck and an adult male bicyclist, resulted in serious injuries to the cyclist.

The bicyclist, with life-threatening injuries, was transported to Morton Plant Hospital, where he later died from his injuries shortly after arrival. The incident prompted the closure of eastbound lanes of Drew Street while investigators examined the scene.

Authorities have not released the cyclist’s identity at this time. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

All lanes of Drew Street have since reopened.
