Clearwater Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, Airlifted with Life-Threatening Injuries

Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a pedestrian-involved crash at approximately 5:34 p.m. Sunday in the 2200 block of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard.

According to officials, a 38-year-old pedestrian crossing from the south side of the roadway to the north was struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by a 46-year-old man.

The injured pedestrian was airlifted to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital as a trauma alert with life-threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation suggests that neither speed nor alcohol contributed to the crash on the part of the driver.
