Clearwater Police Arrest Suspect in Early Morning Vehicle Burglaries

CLEARWATER — A Clearwater man was arrested early this morning following reports of multiple vehicle burglaries in the 1200 block of Grove Street.

Christian Lee, age 22, was charged with armed burglary and resisting arrest without violence. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.

According to Clearwater Police, shortly after 3 a.m., a resident called to report that someone was burglarizing several vehicles in the area. The caller provided a description of the suspect and reported that he left on a scooter.

Officers responding to the scene located a suspect matching the description. Police said the suspect fled first on the scooter and then on foot before being apprehended. Authorities reported that he was armed with a handgun at the time of his arrest.
