Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a vehicle crash at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2019.
The call was in reference to a vehicle into a building at 223 Dolphin Point on Island Estates.
Crews arriving on scene found a 2004 Ford F150 truck had crashed into the building.
Prior to the impact with the building, the truck had driven over two parking space dividers, struck a cement light pole, hit two other vehicles and two scooters. The truck also struck the power meter box, causing the entire building to lose power.
The driver, 42 year-old Daryl Redgrave was taken to Morton Plant Hospital as a precaution for treatment of minor injuries.
The investigation into the crash continues and police say alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
