Clearwater Police are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash.
The call came in shortly before 3 a.m. at the intersection of Court St and Chestnut St.
The driver of the motorcycle has been identified as 29 year-old Anthony Louis Cardaropoli (Tony Card). He was operating a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene by Clearwater Fire & Rescue.
High speed appears to be a factor according to investigators.
As of 7:30AM, Court Street is open but Chestnut remains closed as traffic homicide investigators continue to work the scene.
