CLEARWATER — Clearwater Police are investigating a shooting that occurred just before 8 p.m. this evening in the parking lot of Fuzzy’s Sports Bar & Grill at 1270 S. Highland Ave.
Officers arriving on scene located one deceased individual in the parking lot. Four additional victims were dropped off at Morton Plant Hospital by occupants of a vehicle that left immediately after dropping them off.
Homicide detectives are conducting an active investigation.
Detectives do not believe to be a random act and there is not believed to be any threat to the community.
One of the four people dropped off at Morton Plant Hospital has been transferred to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital for treatment of injuries related to a gunshot wound.
No additional details have been released.
