Clearwater Police investigating armed robbery at a Dollar General store

Clearwater Police are investigating an armed robbery at approximately 8:55 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019.

Police responded to the robbery at the Dollar General, located at 422 North Belcher Road. The suspect entered the store armed with a dark-colored semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from store employees. 

Upon receiving an undetermined amount of money, the suspect exited the front door and was last seen running northwest towards NE Coachman Road. The employees were not injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’08”, 170 lbs., dark gray hooded sweatshirt, and gray sweatpants.

It is unknown if this robbery is related to the robbery at a Dollar General location in Largo last evening.
