Clearwater Police Nab Four Motorcyclists Wednesday Night for Reckless Driving

According to the arrest affidavit, at approximately 9:03 p.m., on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, Clearwater Police observed 29 year-old Matthew Walters of Clearwater, operating an orange motorcycle at a high rate of speed for over 4 miles. Walters was observed driving on the wrong side of the road, in and out of traffic, cutting off cars, and riding on the shoulder. He was arrested for reckless driving near Gulf to Bay Blvd and Duncan Avenue. The arresting officer reports that Walters stated that he was just “trying to beat traffic.” Walters was released from the Pinellas County Jail on $250.00 bond.
According a arrest documentation, at approximately 11:13 p.m., on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, Clearwater Police observed 23 year-old Vida Sattakeh of Tampa. Sattakeh was observed operating a motorcycle in excess of 100 mph. She was reportedly weaving in and out of lanes, cutting vehicles off and driving into oncoming traffic. Officers were able to stop Sattakeh but she reportedly attempted to run away on foot. Once in custody, a search led to the discovery of 5 grams of marijuana in her pocket. She is facing charges of reckless driving, possession of marijuana, and resisting arrest without violence. Sattakeh was released from the Pinellas County Jail on $550.00 bond
