Clearwater Police detectives have identified and arrested two suspects who beat up a teenager and stole his bicycle.
The incident occurred on May 1, 2024, just before 7 p.m., and started at Fort Harrison Avenue and Chestnut Street. The teen nearly collided with a gray Nissan SUV in the gas station parking lot.
The two men in the SUV followed the teen for several blocks before running him off the road near Hamlet Avenue and Belleview Boulevard.
The passenger jumped out of the SUV, tackled him, and began beating him.Â
On May 8, 2024, the Clearwater Police Department announced that 25-year-old Bradley Michael Burroughs and 45-year-old Enrique Louis Sanchez were arrested. Both reside in Largo and are Stepfather and Stepson. Burroughs, the passenger in the vehicle, is the one who beat the teenager. Sanchez was the driver who pursued the teen before the beating.
Both have been charged with strong-arm robbery and were booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
Burroughs was last arrested in Pinellas County on April 18, 2023, for an active warrant out of Sarasota County. The warrant was for a violation of probation in an aggravated battery case involving a pregnant woman.
