Clearwater Woman Killed in Single Vehicle Crash Early Tuesday Morning on Belcher Road
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) continues to investigate a crash that killed a 27 year-old Clearwater Woman. The crash occurred at about 3:30 a.m. on Belcher Road just north of Curlew Road.
According to FHP, 27 year-old Brekke Inez Cramer of Clearwater was traveling southbound on Belcher Road, north of Curlew Road in a 2001 Mazda Tribute.
While traversing a curve in the roadway, Cramer lost control of the vehicle which departed the roadway and collided with a guardrail.
Following the initial impact, the Tribute was redirected back across the entire roadway and collided with the guardrail along the northbound shoulder.
Again redirected, the Tribute traveled back across the roadway and overturned during which time Cramer was ejected from the vehicle.
Cramer sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene of the crash.
FHP does not believe that Cramer was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and does not believe that the crash was alcohol related.
The investigation continues.
