Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is on a major structure fire scene at Cody’s Original Roadhouse, 11202 W. Hillsborough Avenue, Tampa.
Dispatchers received calls at 5:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024, and the first arriving units reported a structure fully engulfed in fire.
Crews attempted an interior attack, but conditions worsened, so they pivoted to a defensive attack, utilizing elevated water streams from truck companies.
Crews are overhauling the partially collapsed structure and extinguishing hot spots.
Heavy machinery has been requested to assist with the operation. The investigator continues to gather information to determine the cause, and there have been no injuries.
