Detectives Arrest Gulfport Man on Child Pornography Charges

Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff’ Office Crimes Against Children Unit arrested a Gulfport man on December 10, 2025, following an investigation into the online access and sharing of child pornography.

The investigation began after detectives received information indicating child pornography was being accessed and distributed via the internet. Investigators identified the suspect as 31-year-old Jacob Alexander Van Ardoy through digital investigative methods.

Detectives reported that the material involved images of children between one and thirteen years old.

Van Ardoy was taken into custody and charged with eight counts of Possession of Child Pornography. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
