SEMINOLE – Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Robbery & Homicide Unit are investigating an attempted murder-suicide that occurred Friday evening in Seminole.
On August 22, 2025, at approximately 5:19 p.m., deputies responded to 14557 Anchorage Circle for a report of a shooting. Deputies found 58-year-old Kimberly King-Judd at a neighbor’s residence, where she reported that her husband had shot her.
Investigators say King-Judd’s husband, 65-year-old Steven Grossman, remained inside the residence armed with a firearm. Deputies made multiple attempts to communicate with him from an armored vehicle, but he did not respond. When deputies entered the home, they found Grossman in the living room with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Detectives learned King-Judd had recently filed for divorce due to ongoing domestic issues. While the two were inside the residence, Grossman made threatening statements and began firing a gun. King-Judd attempted to leave and was struck by a graze wound to the back of her head before fleeing to a neighbor’s home.
King-Judd was transported to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Grossman was also transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Next of kin has been notified. The investigation remains ongoing.
