Double shooting under investigation in St. Petersburg

Police are investigating a double shooting incident on the 4300 block of 17th Ave S.

The incident occurred shortly after 7 pm on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

Two males have sustained gunshot wounds – one has suffered a non-life-threatening injury, while the second individual’s condition is reported as critical.

Activity appears to be related to the incident in the 2900 block of Emerson Avenue S.

The investigation is still in its preliminary stages; no further details are ready for release.
