Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash on 9th Avenue S.
Shortly after 8 p.m. on Monday, October 21, a Jeep SUV, reported stolen earlier in the day, was traveling northbound on 12th Street S. at a high rate of speed and turned westbound onto 9th Avenue South.

It struck 70-year-old Edward Webb as he was walking across 9th Avenue South. The jeep fled and was abandoned at 9th Avenue South and 14th Street South.
The victim later died of his injuries at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital.
