St. Petersburg Police responded to a rollover crash Tuesday afternoon at about 4:51PM.
The crash occurred at the intersection of 54th Ave N and 16th St N in St. Petersburg.
June Young, age 84, was driving a Volkswagon EOS eastbound on 54th Avenue North and attempting to turn left on 16th Street. She
struck a Red Dodge 1500 Pick-up truck that was Westbound on 54th Avenue North.
The impact caused the pick-up truck to rollover several times. The driver
of the pick-up, 26 year-old Tyler Ahern, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
St. Petersburg Police report he is presently in stable condition.
Young was transported to Northside Hospital for evaluation, but her injuries are minor.
Investigators don’t believe chemical impairment was a factor in this crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
