Driver Taken to Hospital After Car Strikes Building on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard

Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a vehicle crash just prior to 5 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026.

According to authorities, the crash occurred in the 2900 block of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard when the driver of a westbound Nissan Maxima lost control. The vehicle crossed three eastbound lanes and struck the front of Robert’s Christmas Wonderland.

No one inside the store was injured. The driver, a 69-year-old man, was transported to Mease Countryside Hospital as a precaution for evaluation. His injuries were described as minor.

The crash remains under investigation by the Clearwater Police Department.
