Early Morning Fire Leaves One Dead, Two Injured in St. Petersburg

At around 4:45 a.m., on Sunday, February 11, 2024, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue received reports of a house fire in the 700 block of 63rd Ave N.

Upon arrival, units discovered the house fully engulfed in flames and two adult victims in the front yard. Crews promptly treated and transported the victims to the hospital in stable condition.

Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire while preventing its spread to adjacent homes.

Unfortunately, one adult was found deceased inside the home during a search conducted after the fire was extinguished.

The Fire Investigator is collecting data at the scene, and the incident is under investigation.
