The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred at McMullen Booth Road and Tampa Road at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019.
Troopers say that 79 year-old Donald Eugene Keller of Lake Lake, Florida was traveling northbound on McMullen Booth Road north of Tampa Road.
For an unknown reason, he lost control causing his 2010 Nissan Altima to depart the roadway into the center median. In the median, the Altima collided with a light pole.
Keller suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
