St. Petersburg Police are investigating a fatal crash involving an E-bike in the 4900 block of 22nd Avenue North.

The crash occurred shortly after 7 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department responded to the collision in the Westbound lanes near the intersection of 22nd Avenue North and 49th Street.

Despite lifesaving efforts by bystanders, the adult female bicyclist, 54-year-old Edelina Rivas Fleitas, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police report that the driver who struck the bicyclist remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.

The intersection of 22nd Avenue N and 49th Street was closed for several hours.

The investigation remains open.
