Fatal Pedestrian Crash on 4th Street South in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG — Larry Darnell Brown, 60, of St. Petersburg, died from injuries sustained in a pedestrian-involved traffic crash late Sunday in the 1700 block of 4th Street South.

According to investigators, shortly after 9 p.m. on Feb. 8, Brown was crossing 4th Street South from east to west outside of a marked crosswalk. He entered the path of a southbound white 2025 Kia K4 sedan and was struck.

Brown was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died at the hospital early Monday, Feb. 9. His family has been notified.

The driver of the Kia was not injured, remained at the scene, and cooperated with the investigation. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
